We are so pleased with the entire process of getting our old videos and 35mn slides reproduced at Legacy Digital Productions. From the moment I first contacted Scott by phone and enquired about his services I felt certain that I had found the perfect place to have our memories preserved. The quality of the finished product is truly remarkable and the personal care and concern provided to us from the beginning to the end of the project is greatly appreciated. Very satisfied, but you have to be patient. I had 1700 feet of old (1950 - 70's) 8mm and Super8 film digitized. Converted to both SD and HD formats onto a disk drive that I supplied, so files are quite large (20GB for 8" reel - 400'). But the higher resolution (than DVD using mpg2 compression) is better for my purpose of video editing. HD is 1920x1080, but of course the image is still the original 4 x 3 aspect ratio (which makes the picture part 1440 x 1080) so as expected there are black bars on either side -- but resolution is as good or better than the film (some sites estimate 8mm film resolution to be around 800 by 600). It took about 7 weeks (they said 6 to 8 weeks), so be prepared to deal with that turn-around time. But quality was superb -- with the knowledge that film stock does degrade/fade over the years. But the video files that they produced was what was on the film, and in fact is _better_ than what I'd seen before with a projector, because now the lighting is consistent and doesn't fade or blur towards the corners.

Not only did you do a fabulous job, working with you made the whole process enjoyable. Picking up my films and also personally delivering them helped me feel safe about letting them out of my sight. I was deeply touched. I consider these memories priceless.

Legacy Digital did a fabulous job of getting our old family films and slides on dvd for my parents' anniversary. The quality was amazing and my parents were so surprised. Scott was so helpful picking up and delivering our order saving us time and gas money and keeping our fAmily treasures safe from the mail. I definitely would recommend them to anyone and in fact am calling them again to do all of our vhs tapes and camcorder tapes next.

Families going through "treasures" when moving can be a huge undertaking, and ours was no exception. Upon finding some 8mm of my wife's grandparents, Legacy Digital did an outstanding job of saving these "treasures!" The quality was unbelievable, and the difference between "C***co vs. Legacy was clearly defined, and most importantly, substantiated! Now, Legacy is working on MY Family's 8mm, and should not expect anything else. My entire family wants to thank you for bringing the reel to reels back to life on DVD. Although the tapes were old, the color and content were of the highest quality. Many family members lost photos in the California fires, so you can imagine the joy when they saw themselves on DVD. I highly recommend your trustworthy service to anyone wanting to preserve memories from reel to reel tapes.

The need to preserve them and to be able to easily share them with other family members. After researching several [alleged] companies, Legacy Digital was the only one whom I was convinced would take the best possible care with my irreplaceable films. Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Fantastic job of X-ferring my old 8mm and Super 8 sound reels. Picture quality was greatly improved with the right amount of color, light, and darkness. Just a beautiful job and it's like visiting my family once again. Easy to recommend. Pricing also was very fair.

Legacy Digital did an excellent job! I had about 30 reels of very old movie film, some over 60 years old without sound that ran on an old projector. The projector no longer worked so I couldn’t watch. I decided to take the reels to Legacy Digital, and they put everything on a flash drive. Now I can watch on my computer! It was done quickly and for a reasonable price. Thanks!

My Grandparents had 8mm films that I had transferred to dvd. Scott came to my home and explained in detail the process. When completed, he actually came to my job to deliver. I was surprised what a great job they did. So after some tears and laughs seeing 50 years of film, I have something to share with my children and grandchildren. I would and have recommended to everyone, worth every penny.

I just has an old VHS of our ship's decommissioning given to me and I had no idea what to do with it. Legacy took care of that (DVD and MP4) and were very friendly and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

After trying two other digital transfer services for my home movies, I found success on the third try. Thank you for doing an excellent job with my old movies. This took longer, but the result was far better than I received elsewhere. I will use your service again in the future.

I inherited hundreds of feet of 8 mm film from my father. It was a mess, splices broken, film dirty, etc. Legacy Digital through Scott Foster took everything and arranged it as I wished, providing me with both DVDs and .mp4 files for my own video editing. The service is superb. If you have lifelong memories on film, do yourself a favor -- don't take them to cheapo outfits where you will get washed out, mismatched results. Use these people. Generations to come will view your digital files and Legacy Digital can make the results of the highest quality. They are very pleasant folks and produce a great product. I am a video professional but was wondering if legacy digital could do a better transfer job than I could. Yes they can! These folks are great! audio and video quality was superb and the effort put toward transcribing the chicken scratch on the original tapes onto the new file names was awesome! my order consisted of 8 mm and hi 8 millimeter video that I was having trouble digitizing on my systems. super easy to work with.
